Kinda wild to use female plight of being raped through history for your agenda against rhaenyra while keeping an actual serial rapist from the same show as your icon. that even in his book canon he’s caught with a little girl pleasuring him while he watches his bastards or whoever in the children fighting pits to compound his depravity. Kinda wild to use the testimony of a known liar, jester and unreliable witness such as Mushroom to attack Aegon, when Mushroom also claimed that Daemon had Rhaenyra pleasure him when she was 8, a little girl. He also claimed to have advances with Rhaenyra himself. So if you use Mushroom’s testimony, bring up his whole story, be consistent :)

He's just a funny lil guy!

Frank Wing (right) is a very responsible adult (aka he has a job) and while at said job, his best friend enters his apartment and downloads an MMO to be a menace cause he keeps claiming he's too tired to do it once he's home. So when Frank realizes what she's done he's like. Fine, whatever, I'll log in this one time just to give her a sense of satisfaction.

And he does. Unfortunately he's not lying when he says he's tired once home so he doesn't do much but sigh at the character she not only made him but named. And so he logs in as "alpha_dude" and just tries to ignore it. Then he finds out his best friend is just a bit weird in her online habits and has a guild where she's trying to collect users with the Greek alphabet in their names. So. She's Omega Rising and now he's alpha_dude. He doesn't really care since he's not planning to play long.

(spoiler, he keeps playing and never changes the character or name. so he just gets stuck being called Alpha in game a lot and gets lots of hesitancy bc who would willingly name themselves that and he's like 'not even me, ok'.)

Halfway past the middle, and we have everything that happened to Bai Shuo, everything that happened to Fan Yue, all of Tian Huo's backstory and what happened to her parents, the whole story of Rong Xian and Ling Long, followed by the whole story of Chang Mei and Mu Jiu, followed by what happened between Mu Jiu and Tian Huo, and now there's the whole thing with Cang Shang and Chen Ye, who Chen Ye really is and what happened to him, and whatever is going on with Chong Zhao and Fu Ling and who Fu Ling really is.

Nobody is happy and everybody is traumatised in this realm.

as for npmd (characters who have a speaking role): brenda. hearing her talk the first time made my soul float out of my body. i didn't recognize it as bryce; i thought they genuinely got a teenager to be brenda. it just took me off guard how real she was. compared to everyone else matching their stereotype, brenda acts like. a regular teenager

if he turns into some kind of TimeHorror when he dies in this condition that would go a long way to explaining why his squad left him and he doesn't seem to resent them doing that.

I must not qualify my answers with “I might be wrong”. Qualifying my answers with “I might be wrong” is the confidence killer. Qualifying my answers is the little time-wasting digression that brings total obliteration of my credibility.

I will face my fear of being wrong in front of my peers that causes me to append that stupid little disclaimer every time I attempt to share my ideas with others to preempt anyone else doing so, like haha don’t worry guys I don’t trust myself either don’t take me seriously it’s not like I think my contribution to this discussion is worth anything either.

alright, since the Remedy brainworms got me I've been replaying Control, got to the AWE expansion last night and picking up on all the echoes/foreshadowing for Alan Wake 2 is making me go utterly bonkers, but like. has anyone picked up on or talked about how in all of Alan's Hotline messages to Jesse, when he's writing about her POV, he exclusively calls her 'Faden'

like, maybe it didn't poke my brain the first time I played it since he does the same thing when talking about Hartman, but coming from AW2 it's pretty jarring as a stylistic oddity...almost like there's a reason (in-universe and/or out-of-universe) that he doesn't call her 'Jesse'...almost like there's only one Faden in his story...

and given how in AW2 we also get some (quasi-) clarification regarding the limits of Alan's ability to "make stuff up" vs alter and rewrite "real-world" events that he sees in clairvoyant flashes...given the Night Springs screenplay pages you can find in AWE that parallels the FBC and the events of Control (i.e. a Director and a Scientist opening a portal to another dimension, finding an eldritch Entity, the Director trying to take its power for himself and then getting taken over before shooting himself)...given how literally all of the "dreams" Dylan tells Jesse about are descriptions/viewings of stuff that takes place on one level of reality or another ("I was the director and you were an intern"; "we were in a game, and it was a fucking boring game but you couldn't stop playing it"; Mister Door, and "a world with a writer writing about a cop, and another world where the writer was real"; a "musical" about Jesse), except, seemingly, the dream about "Jesse Dylan Faden"...

guys. are you picking up what I'm putting down here. guys. GUYS
